Fifteen years, one island, and a name we have to live with.
We're not a national brand with a local phone number. Cape Construction is a Long Island roofing contractor run by the same family that started it in 2011 — which means when something goes wrong, you're calling the person whose name is on the truck.

Our story
Built on the jobs nobody else wanted to do right.
Cape Construction started with one truck, one crew, and a simple observation: most callbacks on Long Island roofs weren't caused by bad shingles. They were caused by shortcuts on the parts nobody sees — flashing that got caulked instead of replaced, valleys without ice-and-water shield, ridge vents nailed over solid decking that was never cut open.
So we built the company around the invisible half of the job. Fifteen years later, we've completed more than 3,800 roofs across Nassau and Suffolk County, and we still hold the same rule: if it's going to be behind the shingles for thirty years, it gets done right, whether or not the homeowner will ever see it.
We've stayed deliberately local. We don't chase storms out of state and we don't subcontract our roofs to whoever is cheapest that week. Our crews are our employees. If you have a problem in year nine, the same company answers the phone.

One price, written down
Every estimate is itemized: materials, tear-off, disposal, permits, and a fixed per-sheet price if we find rotted decking. What you sign is what you pay.

We don't subcontract. The foreman who walked your roof during the estimate is the foreman running the job — and he knows we're both accountable for it.
We leave it clean
Landscaping tarped, gutters cleared of debris, magnetic sweep across the lawn and driveway, dumpster gone the day we finish. Your property, back how we found it.
